Isy (she/they) is a somatic psychotherapist and senior trauma-sensitive yoga teacher. With over 10 years experience as a facilitator of yoga and embodiment, and more recent practice in somatic psychotherapy, her work centres on access and inclusivity. She is a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with Cairnmillar Institute, and a certified facilitator with the Trauma Centre for Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY-F).

Specialising in mental-health aware, queer-affirming and trauma-informed frameworks, Isy’s approach to both counselling and embodiment practices is holistic, relational and body-focussed.  As a trauma-sensitive yoga facilitator, she has worked with diverse communities and individuals including LGBTQIA+ folk, refugees, people living with physical and mental health conditions, and survivors of complex trauma. These experiences have concreted a commitment to emergent and collaborative programmatic design, and working with participants to create empowering and intentional impact.

Isy's work is informed by attachment theory and polyvagal theory to support client's in feeling more connected, safe and inspired. Through both group and individual therapeutic sessions, Isy offers an exploration of somatic movement and mindfulness practices that cultivate connection, compassion and ease.

In working with clients, Isy draws on her experiences as an embodiment facilitator, therapist and an artist to create a space that is tender, respectful, skilfully attuned and holds each client in their wholeness and potential.

Isy is also the Facilitator Manager for the progressive non-for-profit Collective Being. She lives, works, and learns on sacred Wurundjeri Country.
